I have been advised by a young lady in authority(Still wet behind the ears in my opinion) that a hedges are planted as it helps to keep out the noise factor. So are we going to see hedges along York Street flats in front of Godwyne Road and River Court
When I moved into the Close the First to take up residency seventeen years ago
this Saturday the area was well designed.I still have the planting plans as approved by DDC .
It looked lovely .All the hedges were small and the same height.I hasten to add I love hedges if they are well maintained. What gets me is the stupid comment it keeps the noise out .
I don't live on a main road its quiet and peaceful.

I'm afraid Sue while it(hedges) doesn't stop the noise it does reduce the volume dramatically, it is to do with absorbing the higher frequency sound waves.
But it certainly doesn't stop noise!
