It seems that every website on earth is talking about the new Apple iPad and I felt kinda left out that we weren't talking about it on here. Not to be outdone by the rest of the world, I am bringing it up on here so we can all feel deeply involved in the discussion about this new uber-gadget. Never heard of it? Check this link:

Question is, will anyone actually buy one? If you watch the video on the web page above (not the keynote video, but the other one that just says "Watch the Video") then you will have to agree that it is astonishing. Visually very sleek and eye-poppingly sexy, it looks like something from a million years in the future except it's here now. The level of interaction is utterly amazing, and it looks so "human friendly" that, as they rightly say in the video, people will just instinctively know how to use it right out of the box.
It does look like an oversized iPhone or iPod Touch (both of those are STILL the best pocket-size gadgets ever made) but at the size of a magazine, and probably as thick as one too, holding it to read the web and do stuff looks like a genuine delight. I've often wondered what device will come out that kills off the "desk" in "desktop computing" and I reckon this is it.
Well, I'm sold. Best I start saving up. Anyone else joining me in the queue when it comes out?
