This thread is becoming awful and goes to show how Apathy towards Osborne's Austerity can rupture civil dialogue.
I doubt anything personal has been posted against Barry, arguments probably stemmed from original criticisms of Gov.'s clueless measures and Barry's occasional political stance in defence of them.
People have a right to express their discontent, though, and also their ideas. This goes as much for Barry as for anyone here. But as no-one on the Forum is the PM or the Chancellor, there isn't any need to become personal, as these two men alone decide every dot and iot of British State policies.
Perhaps with the addition of one or two other Cabinet members, but that's about it.
It was the same in the Blair era. Basically we live in a political dictatorship,
Which is why Apathy looks more likely to win all elections, through no-turnout of the many.
Until Austerity drags us down to Greece's level.
As said previously, local politicians don't decide really anything, it's all dictated from the Cabinet.
