    There is no doubt that there are politicians at every level that are committed, honest and diligent, but their impact is diluted by the majority that are superfluous to our needs. The national savings made if their numbers, at every level, were cut by 30/40 % would be enormous. If those that are discarded want to show how community minded they are they can carry on helping out without being attached to a title.
