Enjoying our lunch today, we suddenly heard a thundering at our back patio doors. When I opened the door, there was a very stressed and dehydrated dog. We gave him a bowl of water and he now seems to have adopted us.
If you know of anyone in the Eythorne/shepherdswell/Tilmanstone area who has a Staff and might have lost it, please call me on 07867 982141 or 01304 832669.

Just think..............some poor chave is walking around with can of beer in hand.........dogless.
Can you keep it behind the bar Peter?
Train it to ward off certain customers.

He is less stressed and dehydrated now. I just wish we could track down his owners. RSPCA do not do strays, the council dog warden is unavailable on Sundays, looks like we will have to take him to Blakes in the morning and await developments.

maybe he has been dumped, what with no i.d. on him?
if it belongs to a reponsible owner they will have had it micro chipped with identificication info.

Heard a report the other day that 80% of strays/abandoned dogs in Thanet are Staffordshire Bull terriers, Dog Warden service is being reduced from 2 to 1 as well. Perhaps Peter if you suggested to the RSPCA it was possibly abandoned rather than a stray they may help.

We have checked his ears and there doesn't seem to be one. He is obviously well trained and well looked after. As I write he has adopted my place on the sofa next to SheWho Must Be Obeyed.

If he has one, the chip will be in the scruff of the neck. I doubt if you could feel it but a "wand" would find it. I would take it in but my GSD would object. Ask Jeremy's advice (over the road) tomorrow. Careful what you feed it, anything nice might cause the runs.
Happy days.

We have bought some dry food, thinking that is the safest. He is amazingly well-trained and obedient, can't believe he had been abandoned.

Happy ending- we left details at the Co-op in Shepherdswell and he is now reunited with his owner in Barfrestone.
