    Man arrested over crash injuries
    A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Kent.

    The 31-year-old victim was taken to a London hospital with serious head injuries following the incident in Dover in the early hours.

    Police said they believed he was struck by a car after an argument in Northbourne Avenue just after midnight.

    A 41-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

    The road has been closed off while forensic investigations are carried out.

    Police have appealed for people who can help their inquiries to contact them
