  I have a problem with my car got back tonight went to drive home, found the rear right hand wheel is locked any advice welcome.

  It could be the rear (Drum?) brake has frozen, take off the hubcap and wheel and place a lump of wood on the drum casing, then whack it hard with a mallet The sharp shock should free it.

  Will try that cheers, was hoping to be in London having a few sherberts with friends but thats gone for a ball of chalk now.

  Guz, Hi mate, if that doesn't work, it may have some debris in it from the slush small stones and mud etc. Little rock in gear forward and backwards will free it off but the wheel / drum will have to be removed for cleaning, that is presuming that you have rear drums and not disks.

  Could also be a frozen or jammed handbrake cable.
