yet again the a 20 is at a standstill,not sure if its the docks or a bad accident.but 4 yes 4 police cars hurled past aycliffe abut 20/30 minuts ago with 2's and blues sounding all in a space of 5 minuits.

Yes roadworks outside my rear window...one lane closed. Yes indeed trucks winding up the A20 hill in the distance, there may be more to this than just the roadworks though.

the tail back as you call it went back as far as courtwood interchange at one point,now running clear thank god.

The radio mentioned problems on the A2 at Whitfield so probably people avoiding that route....

It beggars belief that a single lane closure can cause so much chaos. When I took the truck up the hill just before midday there wasn't a copper in sight. I know that work has to be done at some time but from what I could see it was only sweeping debris from the central reservation. Surely that could have been done overnight when there is far less traffic about.
