Another sunday walk

  this time it is titled "what, no buildings"? and takes in some ww2 anti-invasion measures, the provost prison, a victorian gun battery, royal military hospital and archcliffe yard.
  
  the walk starts from st martins battery car park at 1 pm sunday the 22nd and ends by returning via the grand shaft.
  
  duration 1 and a half miles taking approx 2 and a half hours.
  
  suggested donation to w.c.c.p. is the usual £.2.00 children free.
  
  leasding the walk are a couple of chaps called paul wells and jeff howe, the names seem familiar.

  i have never heard of the provost prison before, where exactly is it?

  It's was on the corner of Megger where the carpark is by the roundabout - the yard was even used as a carpark when Avo first started !
