    Just had a reply from one of my local councillors

    I also pointed out the this will be second short term accommodation and Aycliffe is a small community. What about other Wards?

    I asked what his view was

    His reply:

    “Yes I know about this and am waiting to see reactions. It’s a pity the church was not better supported but it’s a private purchase and venture.”

    No comment needed.

    The church was not a community centre like most dedicated community centres around Dover. Also they could not afford to repair the roof.
