After trading for a brief period, the "Coughy Shop" is closing.
I can't believe it didn't have enough customers, but then I suppose they couldn't wait for the stuff to grow!

not a question of getting away with anything, all perfectly legal.
you can see the ads everywhere saying that it is illegal to germinate the seeds.
i am sure that none of our members would dream of doing such a thing.
at least i think so.

I remember this being on DF a while back but I can't recall where it is and I don't think I have ever seen it - but I don't get out much!!

The shop is not closing - if you read the notice in the window they are reinventing themselves as a menswear shop aimed at teens to twenty somethings (I believe they put it as "becoming the best threads shop in Dover - not hard") - the notice also suggests they will continue to stock smokers paraphernalia after this change over.
Also it is perfectly legal to sell hemp seeds - it is however illegal to germinate them without a Home Office licence - the seeds themselves can be used in cakes, breads, muesli, sprinkled on salads etc and can also be boiled and used as fish bait

I was told this evening that the cheeky so and so came and asked us at Age Concern if we had a shop dummy they could have.
