18:3868157 Summer returned at last today, and looks okay for the rest of the week I`m told. Last day of August, and not a brilliant month. I took this image yesterday afternoon of the sun bursting through. Nice to get out again after three days in, and blow me, the only forumite I saw today was Keith Sansum who was wandering up Pencester and myself wandering down. Had a nice pleasant natter, and the summer sunshine made it all that much better. Life`s too short, enjoy every day if you can.

08:2468266I agree a lovely picture, Colin.

I am going to use it as my background if you do not mind.

14:2968592The family have all admired my new screen saver. They have seen a lot of the pictures you have posted and been very complimentary about them.
It really would be nice if we could have a Main Page with just local pictures plus caption on it.
What better way to promote the Dover area than a whole load of lovely pictures. All strangers get to see are the usual pictures of the castle, port or the cliffs.

20:3268659Thanks again Jan, and I go along 100% with you on those same old tourist picture`s of Dover, including the castle, although recognising, (before someone else jumps in), that it`s our biggest attraction.
