Me and Mike were walking up London Road on Saturday when we noticed a Portugese Restaurant on the right-hand side somewhere around the new fancy dress shop but I can't remember exactly where. Does anyone know anything about it? I can't see it lasting as there was no real advertising except a chalk board with "soap of the day" written on it.
I think we are all guinea pigs in the middle of an experiment for which they have forgotten to set up a control group!

Yes, interesting one this. Apparently it was to be a Portuguese food shop but the owner changed his mind. I may have missed it but I haven't seen any change of use planning application. Formerly it was Little Rascals, baby clothes etc, and prior to that Hills.
Any idea Ross?

I believe they have received consent for change of use - the reason they hadnt previously opened was because someone reported them for not seeking change of use consent.
I shall be popping in on Saturday and introducing myself and LRCF

Good on yer Ross, a welcome addition to the area. Apart from the signage (Little Rascalls) it looks smart.
