I hope Mrs Pearson reads this forum in 2012 when it was the Queens Diamond Jubilee a party was held in Dover Town Hall for 150 people aged 75 and over .Every Parish and Town was represented .It was organised and paid for by DDC .The gifts to entertainers and flowers were paid for by myself as I was Chairman of DDC at that time .Pupils from different schools in the District acted as hosts and some pupils provided entertainment.

I post this so Mrs Pearson understands DDC do mark special events .DDC no longer hold large entertainment budgets .I held small receptions in the Chairmans Office to mark certain events. I think a lovely rose garden would be lovely to celebrate the Queens Birthday .Not another flag.
