I see that someone wanting a flag in Pencester now. I have no issue with events etc may even find out how much was raised for last one
but would not using some of the apparent million on the flowers in town and improving the town be better. I am sure her majesty has enough flag poles, maybe something different and community based? Maybe improve the 2 sides of Pencester gardens (where bus stops are and car park) as they look rough and Pencester gardens is used a lot. I am sure DTC will cover/reimburse public liability insurance like they did last one.
Or maybe put some flags on the 2 flagpoles on corner of pencester and maison dieu if you really want flags. (fed up with dam flag poles wanting to be put here and there)
How about making a nice walk that goes through Pencester and up the Dour, and making it nice?
