  its a rolling road block most of the time on the a20 between roundhill tunnels and the docks most days, large convoys of hgv's just thundering down the road,and at least half of them don't want to stop at the roundabouts.

  It's been hit at least twice to my knowledge.
  
  Once it was twisted so that it faced down York Street rather than Snargate Street. That was rather confusing until you worked out what had happened! Stayed that way for weeks until it was fixed, only to be completely flattened a couple of weeks later. It's been facing the wrong way/flattened longer than it has been up by my reckoning.
