  dovers connections to the annual music rich list are
  simon cowell ( went to dover college is worth estimated 200 million
  and in the young sters , joss stone ( born in dover ) worth estimated 9 million
  outside music have we any more famous millionares who may have a connection with dover ?

  you seemed to have forgotten dover district's legendary "cowpats" starring our own ray newsam on the banjo.
  
  they must be doing very nicely, you never see any of them without a pint of scrumpy.

  Howard, thanks for the plug, we of course do it for love (and booze) not money. Dover music legend Topper Headon of The Clash did play with us once - just the once, that was enought for him

  Not sure if he's a millionaire (though he ought to be) but here's another musical one, if a little obscure for some.
  
  Robert Wyatt of Soft Machine, recent collaborator with the likes of Bjork, Dave Gilmour and Billy Bragg, lived as a schoolboy in the biggest house in Lydden, the old rectory near The Bell.
