Reading between the lines she probably had insurance for private use only, which in the small print usually covers you for commuting but only to one permanent place of employment.
If you use your own car to travel to different sites as part of your employment then you need business use added - a lot of people could get caught out on this if they hop into their own car to do a trip as part of their job.

I used to push my luck years ago, using my car for company business but I always reasoned that if I did have an accident there is no way the insurers would know.

Your chance to meet her that I gave wasn't correct, info came via our parish council and I was told it is open to the public but apparently it isn't, by invitation to local councillors only.

They're almost all a push over, so she'll face no challenge there!
Has she declared her intent to stand again or is she still fence sitting?

I've heard her and the Chief Constable got a roasting from councillors all over East Kent about lack of action on the problems caused by foreign lorries, particularly illegal parking not being tackled.

On the way home last night at 10.30 I noticed a truck parked on the London bound slip road onto the A2 from the A256. Considerately the driver had placed a warning triangle behind it- in the middle of the road!
