It was great to see Andrew Marr on his own show this morning, he was a guest on the show & took part in a discussion on the legacy of Margaret Thatcher. He told guest presenter Sophie Raworth that he feels lucky to be alive & that he is planning to come back once he has completed his intensive physio. He looked remarkably well after such a major stroke & hopes in time he will have good usage of the left side of his body. His left arm is still very restricted & with his usual charm he explained that he walks with an elegant hobble. He explained that he had been working far too hard last year & keeping fit on his rowing machine. Apparently the night before his stroke he felt dizzy & unwell after a session on his rowing machine & awoke next morning lying on the floor unable to move. He warned against over zealous use of rowing machines.
He is a lovely man, had the pleasure of meeting him several times during the last general election when my two daughters were on TV as first time voters
