just received this in from the priory forum

    All,
There will be a meeting on Tuesday 6th September at 7.30pm, St Martin's Hall, Church Road, Dover, to discuss the clean up.

We were able to get funding from the Community Safety Partnership and the proposed date for the clean up is Saturday 17th September at 10.00am. If we don't get it finished then we propose a follow up on the next Saturday (24th). We are finalising the letter to be put through the residents doors and hopefully I'll send this to you prior to the meeting for you to look at.
Roger and Carol of the Malvern Pub have kindly agreed to provide a small buffet and soft drinks afterwards for everyone who has helped - funded by the grant we have received.
There will also be a small design competition for the children - create a "don't litter your area" style poster. The prize will be an Argos voucher and having their winning design being made into posters to be put up in the area. The idea behind this is to encourage them to be bothered and hopefully they will educate their families.

I'll be setting up an email account and facebook page especially for this event - details to follow.

Please let me know if you can attend the meeting and whether or not you'll be joining us on the mammoth task of cleaning up the alleyways. It would be great to see you all - could you all please spread the word to anyone who may be interested. We'll be putting up a few posters in the local shops but we need as much free publicity as possible.

    Jenny
