This true,as you know I am a cllr on the Whitfield Parish council,and all we want is a village sign,one that does not light up,it has been now over 12weeks in the hands of the D.D.C. planning dept,it is not going to the planning commitee just an officer of that dept,and still we have not got it,if it takes that long to get a sign, does not say much for any town Development by the year2014 and we still are waiting for the sign. And they telling us that Burlington house will be down in the year 2013.
Some of you will remember that I said Burlington house will still be with us in six years time,and some told me I was talking out of back of my head, well that was in 2004 it is seven years now and yes it is still with us, and I say again that it will still be with us in five years time.

Can we have a new line Vic - everything is plannings fault?
Why is Burlington House anything do to with planning, someone owns it and it will take money to buy it and demolish it and do anything there - all planning's fault?

We are talking about a sign not a Develoment ,sorry how do the two match up.? At that time Paul did the council say or not say that Burlington would be down in about 3years.?

who ever own,s burlington house are coining it in just look at what is on the roof mobile phone mask,s that why they have not knocked it down yet

Ted we all know that and have done for years,but we was told a new tower was going to be put up and that would be the end of Burlington house. They said it,and put in the papers .not me.

Every council for 30+ years have probably wanted it down, but that is the past, we should all be behind any new schemes that can bring it down,

I thought they said recently Burlington House would be down in Feb 2012.
Now it's 2013.
In 2013 it will be 2015, and then 2015...

I think everyone in Dover wants Burlington House to come down but do we have to moan about it in every thread about the town or the planning department.
Vic, could the problem be about where you want to site the sign and I think KCC will be involved if it is on or near the road.
