    an raf seaking helicopter was deployed last monday when reports of someone in difficulty in the sea at copt point, between dover and folkestone.

    lifeboat, coastguard and police were searching the area and the helicopter was called in to use it's infra red equipment.

    someone then decided to direct a laser pointer at the cockpit so that the helicopter had to abhort the mission.

    thankfully the call out seems to be a false larm.
