Ok so my sister is getting married on the 2nd june at the churchil hotel, im wondering what outfit would suit for a posh do like this ? any ideas please
For me Mel it has to be comfortable there is nothing worse than constantly hitching a hem up or down or having to sit or stand in a particular way because of what you are wearing .
Stick to the colours you like , seperates are more useful than dresses for me basically be you but for this occasion be a "styled " you . Hope that dosnt offend in anyway , I bet you enjoy the day and look great whatever you decide on

Mel, I recommend you to go see Jenni at Country Brides, next door to us. She doesn't just do wedding dresses, she has lots of other great stuff in there.

If you want something out of the ordinary, try Revivals in St Peter's St Canterbury. It's mostly second hand stuff from 1920-1970 although some new accessories. They have feather boas at £12.

Jenni in the wedding shop has a fantastic range of dresses and outfits . Its a good place to start and I would guess you might not need to go anywhere else

Dita does the fantastic retro pin up girl type of thing. Maybe something 40s or 50s style, smart yet a bit different. Or you could always go for a pretty summer maxi dress especially as like me you never wear dresses and they don't seem like frilly dresses if you know what I mean. I'm not a hat person but thankfully these days there is a huge choice of fascinator/ hair band type headgear which is really pretty (I'm not talking the Beatrice and Eugenie Royal wedding fascinators - eeekkkkkk!) There are more delicate or small feathered creations to be found. If you are going for a retro style there's always the veil netting type - classy and mysterious.
