My ancestor was staying at a hotel at the end of Admiralty Pier on the census night of 1861. He was a Travelling Station Master for the SER company. The building was between the Lord Warden and Pier Head (where the Deputy Harbour Master was). The census says Custom Hotel but no-one in any of the historical societies seems to have heard of it. I'm inserting an image of the census form. Any clues?
