My daughter had just come from Eythorne when the accident happened and was about 7 cars back, as there was nothing she could do she managed to turn round and came down Whitfield Hill. She saw a lorry with a car sideways on to it and said it looked like it could be nasty.

Joining the A2 Dover-bound from the southbound A256 is always dicey. The slip road is far too short and the dual carriageway immediately ends so three lanes of fast traffic reduce to one lane within 200 yards or so. I'm surprised there aren't more fatal accidents there. While it's true that there are no dangerous roads, only dangerous drivers, I think there's a strong case for a 50mph limit between the A256 and the Duke of York's roundabout.
