  I don't like it either, even for modern art the balance looks all wrong.

  At the risk of a backlash I got to say I quite like the abstract Xmas tree. It's very creative and beautiful in an arty kind of way. Strange for me as I normally detest modern art!
  Of course traditional is nicer and they have one of them there too. Imagine that on top of the white cliffs welcoming people into Britain!
  
  Martin P: that photo made me laugh out loud. I suspect if I did not make the effort at this time of year that is what my other half would consider as enough festive decoration for the house!
