We all remember the damage caused when rival thugs visited the town in order to do battle with each other. The Folkestone Road roundabout has been left as it was with parts of it hanging off and other bits laying on top of the grass ready to be used as missiles.

An easy couple of hours work to repair it and at relatively low cost, I don't suppose anyone Is surprised in this town though

Perhaps it will be left as a mawkish tourist attraction, rather like the bullet holes in the Blind Beggar pub lwft by the Krays.
I hope it is fixed soon though. Little things add up.

I first reported it to Kent Highways last February and was given a reference number that I could use to chart progress. I lost that about the same time I lost interest. It took them over a year to replace a street lighting column in my road. Staff numbers have been falling steadily at County Hall and I suspect they now only respond to the concerns of who shouts the loudest.

Maybe it is time our KCC councillors joined together and earned their keep to get this sorted after all this time. When is the next election when they all suddenly show an interest in the area?

No political advantage in our two representatives for Dover Town getting involved as it would be a major shock if they get re-elected with the boundary changes.
