i was surprised to find the article in the daily star, i was doing a trawl to find out what newspapers charged for access to their websites. - 20 August 2011 12:25121925True the Fleet is an interesting one, it became an open sewer in pre-victorian days gone by methinks, mostly filled in. But you're right many of the rivers are mostly subterranean, maybe we could run tours
, watch out for the alligators though, pets that got too big were flushed down the pan, could've made their way down there

I think therefore I am (not a Tory supporter) - 20 August 2011 13:01121939The tubes were indeed one particularly odd thing when I came to London in the seventies for they were unchanged (much) since the war...and smelt like it too. The fire at Kings Cross rather puts the dampners on any nostalgia though...the wood panelling and the smoking had to go.
