    [U]FRANCE – TRANSPORT STRIKE STARTING 22:00HRS 16 MAY 2016

    Unfortunately we currently have no further information as to the format in which the strike that will start on Monday 16th May at 22:00hrs, immediately after the driving restrictions have finished, as the 16th is a holiday.

    A General Strike has been called for the 17th May, which the hauliers strike will roll into. Unions involved are CGT, Fidl, FO, FSU, SUD, Solidaires & UNEF UNL.

    It is likely that there will be road blocks over Monday night, as this seems to be the norm. However, where they will be is unknown and how long this strike will last is also unknown. It is in response to the proposed new labour rules on wages.
