Highways England have advised the full closure of the A20 eastbound carriageway between York Street and the Eastern Docks commencing Monday 29 June for resurfacing and ‘crack repair’ work to be carried out up until 3 July. Eastbound A20 traffic will be diverted onto York Street to Whitfield and down Jubilee Way.
Looks like London Road and Crabble Hill are in for some considerable disturbances day and night during the closure.

It’s only a night closure. Highways England accidentally missed that part off their letter.

Thanks Pablo. Something to really look forward to.
Can we trust them to do a good job - or will they miss some bits out?

I listened to a talking book from about 3 am this morning as I couldn't sleep. The hundreds of lorries passing kept me awake. My only consolation is the fact that BT repaired to loose "person hole" in the main road. Roll on the weekend!
