    It costs £5k per entrance into Dover to shut a lane so the clear ups can take place. These lane closures have to be processed via the Highways Agency & need advance notice. Dover tax payers should not be liable for that burden. Now lorry drivers are being charged a levy to enter the UK , this income should be used for this type of activity as well as funding staffing to man roundabouts into Dover & build out the lorry parks. These points were all raised at the House of Commons session on Monday & will be followed up at the Kent Resilience Forum on 18th. This Forum deals with all emergencies that occur throughout the County & is led by the Chief Constable.
