    Have spoken with some port police officers. They are short of staff and coping the best they can. I watched them at the York Street roundabout this evening for more than half an hour. I admire the courage of these guys and girls who put themselves in front of 44tonne trucks with stroppy drivers in the course of duty. I would estimate that over 25% of trucks turning up at York St had to be sent back as they had not been through Stack. Witnessed one Italian trucker threatened with arrest and one driver who looked as if he was going to run down the WPC who was directing him to go back. She stood her ground.
