yet again the service from the D.D.C is geting better and better two weeks ago the help that the housing dept give to a member of my family was the very best one could aske for,now it has happen to myself from the parks dept this time I phoned them up telling them a tree had come down from the park and was lieing on the wall at the bottom of both my garden and the one next door, a lot of the top of this tree in fact was in the garden, but no one was in the office so I left that as a message on their phone, within one hour the bell went off on the door and standing there was a D,D,c officer from the parks dept asking if he could look at the tree which had come down, we went round the back he said hang on I will make a phone call, he then said Mr Matcham it will be gone within two hours, and off he went I open the back gate so the lads could get in when they turned up .I went back to work on my Pc next thing within 30mins of that phone call and without even ringing the door bell they were in both gardens cut it all down then went round to the park cut the rest down and then gone. You could have not aske for a better service so I hope they read this post and I thank that dept and the lads for that very good service.

good to read that as the officers there do a splendid job in my experience, ask colette about darren solly and sylvie parsons of the same department.
the waste coves are excellent too - i can send a photo by e mail and they respond very quick - sometimes just by a photo posted here.
mind you if my food waste bin is not emptied tomorrow they will feel the rough edge of my tongue.

Isn't it nice to have some good news concerning a DDC department, well done to the Parks Department..
I must say since the recycling system started I can't remember having a single problem involving the bin men, so well done to them as well.

That is refreshing to hear instead of grumbles; I'm sure the officers will be pleased to read those postings.
