Great pictures and the boats do give our seafront some character. It is a shame they are in a constant battle.
With trawlers from France and elsewhere not obeying the riles & regs.
Now, even from our own trawlers, although I think you will find they are owned by a Spanish company now.
In the past, seafront residence has complained that they are untidy.
And of course the stupid rules the EU keeps enforcing on them, are all conspiring to close this great part of our heritage in Deal.

Grab yourself a £1 bag of sprats, wash them, dust with flour, gently fry them in butter for couple of minutes and you will be in fish heaven. Had two panfulls myself already this year and going for third this week.
The fishermen will be catching whiting, dabs and dogfish at the moment, with the odd codling being there main prey but very scarce these days.
Just take a look at last week's Deal Mercury "Those were the Days" page, to see how much the catches and fishing in general, has fallen off over the years.
