A Warm Sunny Christmas

  Has anybody ever given a thought as to what Christmas would be like if it fell in June as opposed to December? Christmas dinner on the beach as the Aussies and other southern hemisphere countries do? Christmas music with no mention of snow in the lyrics? A Boxing Day dip on 26 June perhaps? How often much of life is just taken for granted with not much thought to `What if`? What else would be different do you think?
  Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

  It would rain,Bern the trains have been running in the snow,and I want 2 days off for Christmas,when we used to work Boxing Day in the old days of British Rail yes I was there 38 years this year,no one travelled.
  If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

  I spent Xmas 1969 in South Africa. Christmas lunch was a braai (barbecue) by the pool.

  I had a Christmas Day on Bondi beach in Oz; what a change it was - for the better; in the late afternoon it was back to my sister's for a barbie and a swim (again).
  
  We had Christmas in SA a couple of times too when my brother lived there; brilliant. Both countries lend themselves so well to the outdoor life.

  We got the outdoor life here too Roger , toboggans are hurtling downhill everywhere.. faster than a halloween firework, people are sitting in their cars for up to 8 hours on snow blocked motorways as they contemplate the great outdoors..its terrific fun, arguing with the kids for hours on end, and people are out there sleeping rough at airports...its the whole new craze.
  
  We cant be doing with barbies and stuff..its for softies..all that drinking and swimming and lolling about in the sunshine!!lol

  I think we should at least allow John one cracker, a Christmas party for one, trouble is who is going to help him pull it - cancel aforesaid cracker
