Well anyway, whatever a Torry activist said, this being the title of the thread, it is important to remember in these times of election campaign for the Councils, that over the coming four years the Council budgets will be drastically reduced. DDC will have to see a 40 per cent reduction in spending.
UKIP obviously has a national agenda which calls for no more spending on other EU countries, including bail-outs, as these are most fertile countries and potentially industrious and really ought to see to their own needs.
This will mean that more of our own money will be available for us to invest in our own Country, including the Councils, but even if it may still take time before UKIUP enters Parliament, the Party is determined to represent the views of the People here in Dover and surrounding villages, and the majority views of the People on major issues correspond to our own views, such as further urbanisation - which we don't need at present - and Dover Port, which we do not want to see privatised.
Do the other parties contending the local election have anything to say about how they would cope with a 40% reduction in Dover District Council spending? Do they have any explanation how they would go about this?
UKIP has clear and staeady views on this, and we are not in favour of sacrificing the needs of our own Peoople.
