Ah you have let the side down !!
"A narrative based on the life and work of Vivian Elkington 1880-1963"
Unfortunately it appears to be self published so no details of who created the book, when and why
Been nice knowing you :)

Now you are talking I worked along side my Dad with Mr Elkington, infact my dad worked at the DEW up till he died, I worked there for ten years, but we also went to his house at the Bay at times.he was avey hard man to work for. Later I will tell you some true storys about him, but.he was very well off. As for Jean Melhuish I will try to find out more, there is a very old lady i know well and if anyone knows she will.

Jean Melhuish was the wife of Dr. Bob Melhuish , St. Margaret's GP.
Is this the same person?

It was Dr Melhuish of the bay, found out I had TB when I had a house out there, very good Dr about 6ft 6ins tall and the only car he could get in was a Ford Popler,he also had a yacht in Dover and was a very good squash player and was playing right up to his late 60s or 70s,he was also a friend of my family.

Is anyone still following this forum? I only recently discovered it and bought the book in the meantime. There is very little about the private life of Vivian Elkington. I could add a bit if anyone is interested!
