Deary, deary me.
The squirrelling of assets overseas can hardly be said to be an illegal practice as it goes on fairly openly all the time without much, if any, redress sought by either of the usual suspects that have formed our Government these many years past.
Indeed, though the practice goes on and has it's detractors and that there are many among them who go further and call it down-right immoral; patently illegal (at the present time) it is not.
Hence any hint that this one or that is engaged in such practice cannot be said to be an accusation of illegality.
Any slur upon an individual's 'moral compass', whether with regard to personal or professional life, is not best countered by open and wide ranging threats lest the individual be seen to "protest too much".
Now, any hint that one was engaged in stuffing ones underwear with cash prior to travelling; that would be a wholly different matter.
Maybe what we have been witness to is an attack of moral indignation.
These chaps and many others seem to trade openly...
