The death of Admiral the Lord Boyce is a sad loss to the Cinque Ports . His tenure following the death of the Queen Mother as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports was an insight to a remarkable man & an Truly inspired choice to fill the role. His time as Lord Warden was marked by his dedication to the Role & all who met him were no doubt impressed by his grasp & up to date knowledge with activities & events in the individual Cinque Port towns.
His role as Chief of the Defence Staff was marked by the way he insisted Tony Blair formally signed off the Iraq War campaign to protect the Armed Forces .
