  I've been trying to get my head around MODALITY of late, and am struggling to understand the relevance of it. Anyone out there able to explain in simple terms please?

  The best simple definition I can come up with is "doing what everyone else is doing". In other words, behaving like sheep!!!

  Probably from the mathematical MODE which is the number that appears the most in a group of numbers, so just the majority !
