A puzzle for Kath and Scotchie?

  When I first came to Dover in the early 70s I remember seeing a lighthouse halfway up the wall on the first building on the left as you went into Effingam crescent.
  
  If I remember rightly, it vanished in the mid 90s. Any of you know the story behind it being there or what happened to it?

  Yes Howard, they moved to Temple Ewell, on the left hand side just before leaving the village on the way to Canterbury. They closed down a couple of years ago and the place is now a carwash. I don't recall ever seeing the lighthouse there.
