would people be intrested in putting a poppy field up at st james cemertry, surronding the zeebruge graves.the poppys would have to bear a personal rememberance message.all poppys to be planted by 4/5/6th years from local scools and a party from k college.all sudents could be supervized by teachers and lecturures along with a rep from the british legion.the whole idea has come from the menin gate at leper in which every year for the past 5 years or so they have done this useing studets from local schools.
what do forumites think.

I am sure the Big Issue seller outside Boots would love to volunteer. I understand he has a track record in growing and/or selling exotic plants.
Seriously though, I think it's an excellent idea.

That sounds great Brian, and especially the idea of getting the children involved. I love to see the poppy fields in full bloom...... so beautiful

Tom, (Guzzler) have a word with some of your army contacts, I'm sure one of them could bring a few seeds back from Afghanistan.
