I should be interested in proof of Alexander's statistics. My local supermarket is Somerfield, and usually the tills are busy. The same with Tesco. My understanding is that Morrison's is doing quite well, and apart from this I can only think of Aldi's and Netto's. I think Aldi only has 4 checkouts anyway.
As far as the cable car is concerned, this project renders me incandescent with fury. A true project which is going to cost £3'000'000 for the feasibility study alone when we have a town centre which is desperate for regeneration. I wish you hadn't got me started.....
