  From reading SELEP website the money was made available last summer and then opened the door to bids. Is this the announcement that was brought forward as suggested on Tuesday? Paul

  Well Jack I'd defer to your superior knowledge if I didn't sit on the SELEP Executive Board that makes the decisions with business that supports the prioritisation of schemes that the government /treasury decides.
  
  Reginald , it was but embargoed until 10.00am the morning. We were asked to submit schemes should extra allocation become available. They were listed then ranked for prioritisation. The Port development moved up the list as other schemes were not viable, failed to have planning permission & therefore finished up top of the Kent list- primarily supported by LEP business representatives.

  even though it might help Dover.... 5 millions is nothing these days... 30 to 50 millions are the figures which would make a difference. So Government need to dig a bit deeper.
