  I wonder how many of those locals who objected used the place more than once or twice a year or even not at all.
  
  We kept our village pub open and even bought it when the company were threatening to close it. We also had several objecting locals who never came through the doors in the eight years prior to our granted change of use. Our local parish councillors did not even use the place but had the nerve to object unlike the previous landlord who still used the pub and supported the change of use.
