    Good Lord it is no wonder it takes for ever to achieve things in local government if the silly argument(s) about people being rude/condescending/spinning the party line/meaning what they typed etc. are anything to go by.

    This thread and a number of others on this site are a glowing advert for all that is wrong with local and party politics in this country - no wonder election turnout is so low.

    For all that I find Sue's post too often to be verging on the obnoxious she at least seems to work hard on behalf of the good people of the district (as she keeps reminding us). I also recognise that there are other local politicians who do likewise (John G, Roger, Chris to name a few) as well as volunteers like Mandy.

    However the petty point scoring along party lines does none of us any favours.
