When I made my decision to vote for the Big-Screen, it was after we had visited the two flats in Dolphin House, it was also after we had discussed it at length in the Council, Chamber.

I did take into account the residents living in DH; there will be no screen-flicker, the volume of the screen will be 1 decibel, yes, just 1 decibel above the ambient noise in the market square; more noise will probably come from the people than the screen and the events will be managed well by the DDC officers and others involved in making the decisions.

I have confidence in the Events committee to ensure, along with the Police and Fire Brigade, that it will be run properly - no events will be on late at night and 11pm is switrh-off time, quite a bit before chuck-out time.

I know I have turned (almost) full circle since I first heard about it, but only because I have gone and found out as manty facts as I could about it.

I'm sorry if you felt I let you down Sue, as we were at one on this some time ago, but because I remained open-minded, I made my final decision last Thursday.

You are a great Lady and like me and many others, very passionate about Dover; you are one of, if not the most hard-working Councillors at DDC and that is recognised by many, many people - ordinary people, those off the Council.

Keep it up Sue, we all want the same thing, just have different views on how to achieve it.

    Roger
