Good news about the screen. Well done to the Tories for voting for it.

Something positive at last. We want anything positive, just anything, please.

While I'm here, here's a curved ball from along the coast - how about turning the beautiful former Regent Bingo Hall (currently boarded up, natch, and seemingly destined for Snoops levels of dereliction and unsightliness) on Deal seafront into a farmers' market/local produce hub, including cafes, meat and fish stalls and also European food market traders, a la Goods Shed in Canterbury?

Now that would be something. Slap bang on the seafront. Totally unique.

If this was Whitstable they'd do it. And Deal's heritage is very similar to that of our oyster-chomping chums on the north Kent coast. Any thoughts?

Well done again all who voted for the big screen,

    Andy
