Sue whilst on an individual representative basis you and others may well do well and right by your constituents, on the wider picture the district has been let down consistently for the last 20 odd years by the collective body politic.

It is time we all started to work collectively and consensually towards a brighter future for Dover and its sister towns, villages and hamlets in the District. We should be as open and informative with each other as is possible so that we all can reach an agreement about the way forward. When I say forward that is forward to the future not the past, we cannot recreate those rose tinted halcyon days of yesteryear, we must think about what we want for the district and grasp the opportunities that present themselves that move us towards that place. We should also ensure we involve willing and able local groups when they present themselves rather than taking their idea and then excluding them, it is only through inclusion that we will build a community that cares about itself and respects itself and others.
