    In the full report - it says that after the Olympics the Big Screen could be moved if a better location was found.

    The Market Square site was chosen by LOCOG as it meets the criteria that has been set for such.

    Of course some of the businesses are afraid of some competition and you don't have to look far to see why.

    JOHN - you haven't mentioned that the Government are not providing sufficient funding for the swimming and that their income will stop in two years - then, when the community has got used to the scheme that nasty Diostrict Council will either have to either divert funding from elsewhere or stop it - that nasty District Council would be stopping it if it came to that and not the tight Government who only underfunded for 2 years and them stopped the money.

    You really must show both sides of the coin old pal espedcially when you realise that the next DDC elections will be in 2 years time - nivce try john but I noticed it.

    Back to this debate - it is interesting reading and I am sure that the Planning Committee will be taking an impartial view - not wanting it is not a planning consideration.
